The Israel Cancer Research Fund is the only voluntary charitable organization in North America solely devoted to supporting cancer research in Israel.
Since 1975, ICRF has provided over 1,500 grants, totaling in excess of $33 million, to outstanding cancer researchers whose laboratories are located in all of the leading scientific research institutions, universities and hospitals across Israel.

IN THE NEWS The LA Chapter of the Israel Cancer Research Fund held its Inaugural Laureate Gala at the Century Plaza Hyatt Regency on Sunday, May 17, 2009. Chairs of the evening, Annette and Ron Plotkin, were proud to announce that over $2 million was raised to support cancer research in Israel. Highlights of the evening included remarks by noted oncologist Dr. Barry Rosenbloom, Chairman of the ICRF Los Angeles Chapter, a Keynote Address by former Vice President Al Gore, a special video presentation and remarks by Dr. Avram and Judy Hershko (Nobel Laureate 2004 in Chemistry), and a special presentation by Consul General Jacob Dayan to the evening's Honorees, Nickie and Joe Shapira. Honorary Chairs for the evening were Diane and Guilford Glazer through whose generosity ICRF has been able to establish its first Distinguished Chair in Cancer Research.
